got my labs back. tsh was great at .72 and my thyroid peroxidase antibodies were under 10. i had high cpk levels at 277. my cortisol was low-ish, at 5. this was in the afternoon, around 3pm tho. I hadn't eaten yet that day tho b/c I wanted to make sure I would be able to have a test if needed after my doc appointment. Anyway, doc had me do an acth stim test a few days later. nurse called w/ those results today. strange ones. my cortisol STARTED at 32.5. After the first injection it went DOWN to 27.68, then after the third injection it went DOWN again to 11.11. really confused by this. The starting number seems so high. Normal values are from 4 - 22 from this lab. And then isn't the cortisol suppoesd to go UP after acth injections? waiting to hear back from doc.

Thanks! I actually just started seeing a new doc, and he did a full blood work up. pituitary, adrenals, cortisol, all kinds of good stuff. it's end i have low cortisol, high spk levels so we're looking at addison's and/ or lupus or any kind of autoimmune disease. but waiting on another test to come back to see if the low cortisol is coming from my adrenals or pituitary. then we will do imaging tests for a tumor in either. thanks so much for your concern and advice. i would be glad to hear anything else! :)
