P.S. I'm encouraged to hear you say the YAG can clear things up if indicated. Thanks!
Dry eyes are better, thank you. I take lots of fish oil, drink lots of water, sleep w/goggles, use Rystasis 2x a day and lubricant drops (the best are the Celluvisc gel).
Thank you so much for all your feedback! My doctor had already told me that he would not take out the lense in my left eye. He did tell me I would need reading glasses but didn't say I wouldn't be able to see to put my make-up on or see my manicure. As I said, this is all a shock to me because before surgery, I was able to read and see up close. He told me the only solution was the ReStor. I think I'm going to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. I just wish I would have waited to have my surgery. My cataract wasn't that bad.
Thank you for your response! Yes, I had the 'regular' implant in my left eye. I always forget what they're called. It was set for distance since I cannot see up close now. I was able to before the surgery. This is why I regret getting the surgery done. I wasn't at that point in my life yet for reading glasses and was able to see up close. Normally that happens over time and gradually so we get use to it. With this surgery it happened overnight and I just can't get use to it. I'm also very afraid of getting the ReStor in the other eye as I'm afraid I won't be able to get use to it because I've always had such sensitivity to light, etc. You only have the ReStor in one eye???
