Congrats...sounds like things are going great for you. That is awesome. I am doing ok. Not really sure what to expect from it all just yet though. I will be one month tomorrow since surgery. At my 3 week appt doc was pleased with how it was going so didn't do a fill. I will go back to him Oct 9th for another evaluation. I am eating the one cup...3 times a day. Pushing the protien. So far, as long as I eat something substantial...not just yogurt...it has been keeping me fairly satisfied. Once in a while something won't set right but for the most part the things that I have tried have gone pretty well. I am trying to not eat things that i am not supposed to but sometimes that is hard. There are things that I miss so it is quiet a change. One day at a time and yes this is quite a journey.
Hi...I saw in a post that you had the band in June. I just had mine on Aug 19th so not quite a month. I am just wondering how it is going for you? I saw where you said you were really hungry...did they do a fill for you yet? I would love to compare notes and get any advice you can offer. Thanks...Lynn
Just a quick note to say hi! I , too, need lap band and have synvisc injections. My insurance will not pay for my lap band because my BMI is 38 not 40 or higher. I have OA and that is not a factor in allowing me to have lap band. My knees are so bad. Today, I am researching reactions to the synvisc shot because I cannot walk. Over the last few days, my left knee has been getting worse and today it is very swollen and stiff. My first series of shots went very well. I return in two days for my second shot. I am starting to worry. Like I said, this is my second series, I had my first series last year and everything was fine. Good luck to you, I hope you can have your lap band~~~
