How long did it take for you guys to heal?
I hear ya man, I'm beginning to get fed up with the medical community's lack of answers. I've been leaning away from it for the most part & trying out alternative methods, which is why I'm thinking lately about acupuncture & traditional Chinese medicine. It's a little pricey & not covered by insurance, but tax returns are coming, so why not? Still trying to figure out how much rest is enough rest. Not one of the three urologists I've seen has given me a straight answer on that one. Btw, what do you do for exercises?
I was thinking the same thing about the constant blood flow, though sometimes it's too much & gets sore. I somehow managed to have a 3 week strech of no aches or pains& thought I was in the clear, but now the aches & pains are back. I did have the dark ring too, but now it's transformed into more of an indentation on the underside. I've found that L-Arginine helps the blood flow. I'm doing 500mg 3x a day at meals. I also got this all natural icy hot type stuff made from tee tree oil at the health food store. It's not as strong as icy hot, so it doesn't burn, it's just enough to sooth it & relax the tissues. Also been using one of those wrap around neck massager things on it I found at CVS. Seems to help.
Thanks for replying so quick. Yea, that's pretty much where I'm at with it. I still have a slight indentation on the underside near the base & altough it is better, it aches quite a bit & I have to be gentle when using it. Been to 3 different urologists & haven't gotten much help from any of them. I was thinking of trying acupuncture/Chinese medicine. I suppose they couldn't do any worse than the uros.
