In the confidential literature I reviewed when preparing the NDA's for calcium channel blockers there was substantive linkage with "charlie horses". This information, I note, was never inclided in the package inserts when the drugs were released.
Interesting. Hyland's Leg Cramp pills are being sold today at my neighborhood health store (contains quinine) and the VA just issued me a prescription andf 100 quinine sulfate pills three days ago. Diet sodas contain aspartame, which is an extremely dangerous neurotoxin. It should be banned. There is a natural chicory substitute available. Thanx for writing.
I too was living in chronic pain, inbetween the oc and the severe artrithis in both hips. the neurothpaty was getting very depressing. When I would have a good day I would try to take the most advantage of it as possible. My pain is still there and the neuropathy also, but after a couple of surgeries for replacements, it is almost tolerable. Trial and error works. your just going to have to find what works for you. Take one day at a time and let god help if he can. I'm beginning to believe he does hear us.
Your "Charlie horses" will be resolved by quinine sulfate tablets. Your physician should have prescribed them. Often, the Charlie Horses are due to calcium-channel problems and can be relieved by a few extra glasses of milk a day.
