Just a quick note to say hi!
Hi Carol,
my symptoms now are mainly of a sensory nature like numbness and pins and needles but I still have some bad nerve pain from time to time, almost like electric shocks down through my spinal cord etc. I too have had some bladder probs. My left leg always feels a bit weaker and is worse in heat.
I have also had optic neuritis. At the moment my symptoms aren't too bad, apart from some weird stuff with my eyes..
Take care,
good luck for when you go back to the neuro.

Hi was just re reading your note. In answer to your question about why I had more than one LP done. 1st one was over 14 years ago when they suspected MS. Had a long remission and now all systems go again... so they thought it was time to repeat everything, plus technology is better now than back then. Who knows..... given up worrying about it.

Hi Carol,
I am glad that your procedure's didn't go too bad. I am not sure if I would be brave enough to have another LP again after having such a bad experience with my last one.
It usually takes about 3 weeks for all the results to come back on your LP but they have the important ones pretty soon. Both my LPs were normal. I never actually seen the results but I have a neurologist who would tell me if they were slightly out etc., so I trust him. You can have a normal result and still have MS. They seem to only use LP now when the MRI is not giving them the answers.
Keep us posted with your results.
All the best,
Udkas.
