About Me: Female, 38, louisville, KY, member since Apr 2009
31 year old female. Mother to two beautiful children. I know I am biased! On April 3rd I had to sign for the first time for a narcotic at the pharmacy. I was getting tramadol. That flipped me out and I decided then and there I am going to quit. Take a look at my tracker
[More] and you can see how long its taken me to get where I am now. I have exp. bad w/d's, along with crazy mood swings. But I will never look back. I am happy to report that as of 5-15 I am down from anywhere in the neighborhood of 12-15 a day to 1 a day and still going down. (yes, I have had some weak moments.) I trully hope for everyone on this site that you find the end of the tunnel that we all have been under riding the trammie train.
Hi Sandie! How have you been?? I always wonder how you're doing with Tram or if you were able to get off of it. I remember you having a horrible time with the w/d's. I understand that it's difficult to find the right time to jump off of these awful pills, especially if you have a busy life...it's makes everything harder to do...as if getting through the w/d's isn't hard enough.....I just wanted to let you know that you're still thought of...and all of us are here to support you. I hope you're doing well..
Just a quick note to say hi! sandie...It sounds like your doing well. I was on Tramadol for a year for tooth nerve pain. I still have that but use aspirin now. I'm about 90 days out and feel pretty good. I still have lingering depression and sleep problems. I also get hot flashes in the morning mostly. All in all I am feeling better. it really is a long haul. Keep going your going to feel so much better soon...Keep in touch...
I was reading through your most recent post and saw that you were a prison nurse. I was recently in jail due to my tramadol addiction (prescription forging) and I was going through the withdrawals there. I'd have to see the nurse twice a day and had bps of like, 170/120 and pulse of 170. they'd ask what I was coming off of and I said Ultram, and they were like, yeah right. None of them recognized my need (I was coming off 40+ pills a day too). So I just found it ironic and wanted to reach out. I am now on Day 11 off the trams and just looking for someone out there who keeps up to date on this thing to talk to. Good luck!
