About Me: Female, 48, Woolwich Twp, NJ, member since May 2009
I am married with three children. I have a big fat cat named Mooshie. When I was 20, I had an appisode of blindness. The blindness last for about 20 minutes but I wit
[More]h weak and disoriented for about a day or two. For the past couple of years, i've had bowel issues. I take nexium every day and immodium for irritable bowel just about every day. I get dizzy and fatigue when I take a warm to hot shower. I take showers with the bathroom door open now just to let the excess heat out. Before I had remeded this, I would get out of the shower, and before I could get dressed, I had to lay down for a half hour just to recoporate. I had an eye exam about a year ago and my vision wasn't less than 20/60 because it wasn't mandatory that I were glasses for driving. I just had another eye exam about a month ago because my vision is progressively getting worse, I thought quicker than normal. Now I have to wear glasses because I am below 20/60 in both eyes. In January, I went about 80% blind in both eyes. This episode last for about half hour again but still dizzy with a slight headaches for about a day. But since then, I have developed pins and needles in both hands and fingers, and feet and back. vertigo, pain in my eyes, the top and back of my head. Every now and then when I am laying down, some part of me will jerk. And still dealing with bowel dsyfunction every day. I had an MRI brain w/wo contrast. I t showed multiple bilateral lesion. I have confirmed optic neuritis by a neurologist. No lesions on the MRI cervical w/wo contrast. I am still waiting on the results of my VEP/SEP. The tech who performed my VEP said I should go to an MS specialist and why was'nt I on any meds. I told her I was just diagnosed a week ago. I am really concerned about what that VEP showed. My neurologist thinks I have MS but the thing is, she is going on maternity leave. I have been getting progressive worse since January. I am really stressed out.
