I was diagnosed in May 2010 with Follicular Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 36. I went through 6 months of chemotherapy and a maintenance plan where I received Rituxin every 2 months for two years. Today I am in remission and hope to stay that way for a very long
[More] time. Because there is no cure for Follicular lymphoma, I will most likely have to endure reoccurance and treatments off and on for the rest of my life. I am hopeful that someday soon a cure will be discovered.
Recently, I decided to become a CL on the Lymphoma/Leukemia forum because I feel a strong need to help those who are going through a similar experience.
Thanks Mocha! It's always nice to know that someone is thinking of us. I have to admit, I am getting so nervous and scared again....I guess because it's now time to start getting things going, no more holidays to fall back on! Bill is going to see Dr. Paul Hamlin at Sloan Kettering, just waiting for his office to call and schedule. Apparently they do the calling! So this is it. Why am I so scared? I guess it's the unknown and now there aren't any distractions. I am always thinking of you too!! Eileen
Just a quick note to say hi, and thanks for your helpful contributions to the BC Forum! Please continue to vist us when you have time; we can always use the input of knowledgeable and supportive people. Regards, bb
First to leave a note! :)
I want to say that I'm very glad you've turned out okay in this recent episode. I also want to add that I haven't been on this forum much lately, but I did pop in on Saturday and I did see that despite your problem you also took effort to try and help somebody else. So I thought that you certainly deserved getting reply also. Best wishes to you.
