Diagnosed with Graves about 18 years ago, which went into remission up until 2 years ago, I found out I have multi-nodular goiter and very high antibodies for Hashimotos as well as the Graves. My dilemma: Remove the thyroid or let the immune system kill it?
Yeah, its insane what these thyroid diseases can do to the rest of the body...it stinks!! Ah well, I gather eventually things have to stabalise...just gotta wait for that time!!! Will definately ask if I have any questions...thanks :)
Thanks...I actually have both hashi's and graves so levels can be a bit unstable. Until recently we just thought it was crazy hashi's swings but then after me telling the doc I wanted a graves test we found out I have both. Diagnosed hashi's 10 months ago and graves about 2 weeks ago.
