I am a Ph.D. student in Psychology: Cognition, Brain, & Behavior. I am also earning post-graduate certification in sex education / STD prevention. I have personal experience with panic disorder, major depression disorder, and PTSD.
My research involves several areas of cognitive and social psychology. I have also published a number of articles relating to health anxiety and hypochondriasis.
I'm a trained crisis counselor, and a board member for a non-profit organization that focuses on HIV prevention, gang intervention, and short-term crisis counseling.
I'm interested in psychology, philosophy, politics, art, filmmaking, jazz, the blues, old hollywood, everything french, books, theater, photography, traveling, thrift shops, british comedies, mexican soap operas, gin and tonics, and anything to do with the 1920's.
Yes, mild gastritis probably caused by anxiety. Polyp was benign. My GP wants me to see a urologist now for my back pain to make sure my kidneys are ok. I don't like doctors so I'm going to a chiropractor Friday instead. My GP wants to send me from one specialist to the other and my nerves won't take all that. I'm a 51 year old female and think a lot of my problems are hormonal. How are you doing?
