Try not to worry yourself too much (I know that sounds impossible) but you can't don't anything without facts and your doctor will be getting those for you. I don't know how old you are but from what I've read, if you haven't gone through menopause, it's like 98% chance it's benign. And as far as the pain, I've just really started having pain....feels like I'm ovulating all the time and I can't sleep on my left side....it pulls and hurts real bad.
Keep in touch and let me know how your appointment goes. Don't be afraid to ask questions of your doctor either...make them break it down until you understand it. And don't stress about a possible future surgery....face that when you have to.
Take care,
Nancy
Hi Malinda. I too just recently found out I have a dermoid cyst on my right ovary. thankfully it was found by my gyn and she is being pro-active. Right now I'm awaiting the results for the CA125 test (testing for cancer) and I'm pretty anxious. I'm also facing (at least) surgery to remove the cyst and the right ovary. So I know what you're feeling. If you ever need to rant, cry or just talk....drop me a line. All the best to you and you're in my prayers.
Nancy
