About Me: Female, 68, Austin, TX, member since Jun 2009
I'm a single mother of two grown sons and have two beautiful grandchildren who are the lights of my life. I work 40 hours a week in state government. I love to cook and try new things.
Of late, I am consumed w/my daughter-in-law's ovarian cancer diagnosis made May 14. She is 40 years old. Since the diagnosis, it seems life is on hold, waiting for whatever comes next. Life will never be the same.
I have family in Austin- have heard it's gorgeous (we're near Chicago).
Next time I'm there, my husband, Ivan, and I would love to buy dinner, tea- somthing and say hi in person.
Praying for your well-being and as painless and rapid a recovery as is possible.
Just a quick note to say hi! I'm not really sure what is going on with tybear. I just saw that she posted on Facebook the other day and seemed really down. She is just not doing very well right now. She definitely needs to be in our prayers!! Thanks for the friend invitation. It is always nice to have more friends :-)
Sorry...hit post by accident. I'm currently in another trial at MDA Torisel/Avastin and go down every week. Pain in the butt but so far so good. What is your DIL doing? Saw she will be finished with treatment in a few weeks? Sent me a PM to let me know.
