About Me: Male, 62, Alkmaar, Netherlands, member since Jul 2009
I had surgery c6/c7 with fusion 7 weeks ago. What do I have to exspect from the surgery in 2, 3 or 4 months.
[More] I still have muscles in my neck that feel stretched. Moving my head goes much better as in the beginning. Biggest problem is the loss of energy as my body feels hidden by a truck, specially in the morning.
Can you give me some advice?
I am from the Netherlands but had my surgery in Germany.
Now its monday morning I have my own company (photographer) but do not have the energy to do much. I dont use medication. The pain in my left arm en neck are gone after surgery. When is it safe to lift some weight for 5 to 10 kg?
Can you give me some good advices? I would be very happy if you would react on this email.
Reading your problems on medhelp I am wondering if I have the same problem. What was your outcome.
I had surgery on my c6/c7 in Dec 2009, the same procedure as you, Now nearly 10 months after surgery I have had a flare up, I have a little pain in-between my shoulder blades and have a tingling sensation in my left arm, and a degree of weakness, pretty similar to when I first injured my neck. I am starting to panic, and hoping I have not done anything else.
