You're in my thoughts, I hope that you have found a little more improvement with the acebutolol?? It did take some time for me, but when it happened, it was very dramatic, no question. Don't give up just yet, I felt a little dispair in your last post. Hang in there for a little while longer.
Just wanted to let you know I can relate. If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me.
I wanted to let you know that the acebutalol (sectral) does seem to be working to reduce the pvc frequency. I wasn't sure initially.
I was, and still am, using it at half dose, and not every day, but it has now proven to break up the multiples, and even give me some pvc free minutes when I take the other half of the prescribed amount.
If you are having bad pvcs, it might be a good beta-blocker to try, if you are thinking of trying a beta-blocker. Of the other three I've tried, only inderal broke up the multiple pvcs but didn't reduce the over all frequency. Plus, acebutolol (sectral) doesn't seem to have as much affect on my energy level (blood pressure) as the other beta-blockers.
