I'm a Elementary PE Coach who loves children, and a very active person who was diagnosed with arthiritis in the neck ten years ago, however, recently after Anterior Cervical Discetomy, Fusion-Instrumented (ACDF) on C5/6 and 6/7. I was also told I had a pinched nerve in

[More] between C6. I'm a post-op patient a little over 3 months. I went through extreme pain before surgery with even holding my head up, neck, shoulders, especially my whole left side from shoulder to hand and still experiencing at times pain. Of course, I take my prescriptions and have had 7 to weeks of physical theraphy. I felt as if I was finally doing fine until recently my left shoulder down to my left hand start hurting due to numbness, tingling, sharp pain to the touch, and has always been the weaker side since the beginning of all my pain. (I was complaining three weeks after surgery about my left shoulder hurting to my hand, and was told I had tentinitious. I was then given a cortazone shot which helped until now.) Well, I just want to get better and skip the pain. However, the left shoulder/hand pain, also tingling, sharp, numbness to both legs ended me in the ER where the only gave me X-Rays (??said minimal osteophyte formation within the neutral foramen at the C6-7 level bilaterally) and morphine for the pain. I just had a second cortazone shot the very next day, and tomorrow is my MRI for my left shoulder. Wow, Now did I mention this has also been a strain on my recent marriage of being sick or in pain do really do what I use too (ie. like swim, walk 5 miles, dance, walk my german shepherd, or even ride any of my horses yet).
I've never join a support group before, and have so much to share. So Please, excuse me if I don't know how to really use this (@ times pain vs.spelling) useful way of communication. However, I guess always check my post for updated info on what I'm going through especially just recently.
