I hope this will be helpful for you. About 15 years ago I developed sciatica (I presume that is what you have) and tried all sorts of treatments, including acupuncture. Nothing worked. I finally found that after taking 100 mg of vitamin B1 for several days the pain disappeared. I told my doctor and he was surprised that it was B1, although he thought B6 might be helpful. The sciatica never returned and whenever I get something like a leg cramp and I take B1 - it is gone. Maybe this will not work for you, but give it a try.
Just a quick note to say hi try chinese accupuncture, it worked for me.
also, sitting is the worst. Walking and standing helps. I can suggest some really great stretches too that helped me.
I have the same pain. Went to physical therapy and they did ultrasound treatment.... it breaks up molecules and puts heat deep down; it was wonderful and relieved my pain for a few days... going back this week. It was like a miracle. He said it was my piniformis, but yours sounds like sciatica. PT is wonderful.
