ADD - Long-term Adderall(adderrall) Dosage???

I have been taking Adderall (adderrall) 15mg tablets 2 times daily for about 3 years now.  (I tried the time release and they don't work) Anyway, the last time I saw my dr., she wanted me to wait until my prednisone was regulated.  Ummmm this is never going to happen and what does Prednisone have to do with my attention span???   I am weening myself from the Prednisone and will never be at a dosage, like 20mg for months.  I am now on 15mg which will be tappered to 10mg next month.  Anyway, the mg of Adderall (adderrall) she has got me on, just isn't cutting it for me.  It does nothing!  I see her on the 19th and need an increase.  I need to know what the normal long term dosage for adults on Adderall (adderrall) is??  & with a lot of controlled meds, over time you tend to need more of the drug to get the same effect.  Any knowledge into this topic would be appreciated.  thank you

Hey, I am new to this forum..well posting anyway. I realize this post was awhile back and was wondering what the outcome was. When I started Adderall (adderrall) I was on Prednisone as well and final dosing for the Adderall (adderrall) really couldn't be done until I finished my Prednisone. Remember some of the effects are similar in big drugs. Energy, for example. From what I've seen 30mg seems to be pretty average dose, those on higher of course being on the Adderall (adderrall) for a longer time. For me my meds really didn't start to work to full effect until not only dosage was figured out but also diet and daily routine..sounds silly but it all ties in. My Adderall (adderrall) dose is being upped shortly for same reasons you stated, I tried to hold this off as long as possible but in the end its not about how much of what your taking but what works for you.
