ADD or just spacing?

sorry if i post this in the wrong forum but i dont know where else to post it. ok so for years ive had this problem were i forget everything even my name for a couple seconds (the longest it happend was about 30 secs) and i know its happening. i can even talk to myself in my head  its almost like my brain splits into two parts. if im doing something like searching for something or cleaning, my body will still be doing that but its like im stuck in the other half of my brain that has no idea what im doing. better exp. its like looking through someone elses eyes and not knowing who they are. and if i think about it and try to remember, it will happen longer. ive watched myself look for somethng on the computer but i didnt know what it was or what is was for. most of the time i dont talk when it happens. when i told my mom about it she said look up ADD.  am i just spacing out? or could it be something wrong with my brain?

   Well, it could be that you easily get distracted by other things.  If you want to see if what you have is something like ADD.  There are two sites aimed at the adult ADD sufferer that you might want to check out are totallyadd.com and http://jeffsaddmind.com/for-first-time-visitors.
               Both sites are done by people with ADD.  totallyadd was actually a PBS special and consequently is a series of short videos.  Quite entertaining and useful.   Jeffs add mind really reflects him.  Has much more adult interaction.  Both are worth checking out.
