Has anyone else had Trichotillomania (hair pulling until you leave bald spots) develop while on Vyvanse or any other ADHD med?  SShepard

i haven't, but you're not the first person to report hair-pulling as a side effect of amphetamines.  for a while i did develop a terrible habit of skin-picking from adderall (adderrall), it didn't start until i'd been on it for 2.5 years already and it lasted for just over an entire year... i've quit it now but still have light scars on my face from picking at tiny little imperfections until they bled... things like blackhead or just a pore that i thought looked too big, i'd zone out and pick until i'd undoubtedly made it 1000x worse than it would've been if i'd left it alone.
try lowering your dose if you're concerned about it, and if you really want to stop doing it you need to find out what triggers you in addition to the drugs-- try to figure out or keep track of what time of day you find yourself doing it, how long after you've taken your meds it is, if it seems to get worse with larger doses, and what else is going on in your environment when you start to do it.  nailing down when/why i'd pick was what really helped me to stop, so just a suggestion since i think the two side effects are pretty closely related...

I have this when not on ADHD meds, but it goes away when I take my ADHD meds.
