Adderall misuse

I am 17 years old and I have put myself under a lot of pressure in school the last few days. I take adderall for ADD (20mg XR) and in order to study harder and motivate myself I made the mistake of using a 10mg short acting tablet by crushing it into powder and snorting it. I have done it a few times since and I would like to know you have any advice. I know you're not supposed to snort it, but as I said I've had a hard time lately.

Okay my dear! LISTEN UP! I was diagnosed with, "Hyper-Activity Disorder" in the late 80's (today's ADHD) my parents refused to put me on meds! When I hit undergrad I went on Adderall! Went from a C student to a straight A, 4.0 GPA! It was my miracle drug and I totally loved how freaking. Skinny it made me! Hated never sleeping BUT it seemed worth it at the time! Drank some at that age BUT NEVER REALLY DID DRUGS! Fast forward four years, I start sniffing my Adderall because the love of my life, my freaking fiancé tells me it is sooooooo great! Start drinking more to counteract the uppers, YES Adderall is an amphetamine salt as in like methamphetamines! So by the time that I was at a ridiculously high amount of Adderall a day, like up to 160mg. a day! Out of freaking control really! So anyways, next got hooked on OxyContin, next came dope or heroin, heavy amounts of cocaine, Special K, Molly, etc. Let's put it this way, I weighed flipping 91lbs. When my parents legally took away all of my rights because I was an adult! Not cool at all! Oh yeah, ended up with a needle in my arm, a nasty huge needle, used to inject steroids! Yup sure did it! It was all I freaking had! So yup what did I do? Crush up bright blue Adderall and my ex missed my vein and boom! Now I have a permanent blue mark on my arm!  Oh yeah and then I fell in love with speed balling too! Keep sniffing your dang Adderall and that will most likely BE YOU! No friends left! No job! No NOTHING! Adderall was all it took for me to get roped in! Not trying to be mean, scare you, glamorize drug use or anything like that sunshine! However, I have to be honest with you because that drug nearly killed me all because I thought that my ADHD was so out of control! Well guess what, the won't give you Adderall anymore once you've done what I have so therefore I have to just suck it up! So sorry I truly wish the best for you but really don't say, "Oh I feel really bad and I won't do it again!" Because let's all get real here! You probably already love it so much that you'll do it again! Dang! I certainly did!

  You might want to ask about vyvannse.  It last longer. Apparently is smoother and is impossible to snort (which I am sure you would never try again).  Best wishes.

Thanks for the responses. I am already regreting my misuse of the adderall and definately wont do it again. Ill try to schedule an appointment with my Psychiatrist to see if I can increase the dosage.

  Talk to your doc.  20 MSG is a very small dose.  You need one. That lasts longer.   And, it is extremely bad to snort it.  The dangers are huge.  Spend some time solving how to deal with the hard times.  Snorting is just a cover up, and will not solve the problem.

You already know you shouldn't be snorting and you already know it is a misuse of medication meant for ADD. No one on this forum can tell you any different.
