Blood Tests

by moelina, Jan 25, 2009 03:36PM
Hi my question is in ragards to blood test for ADD. I have been very convinced of my son having ADD for awhile now and have decided to seek professional help from our family Dr. and a psychologist to see if they can be of any help to my husband, myself, and my son who is now 10. His blood test came back in the normal range. What is that supposed to mean?  Isn't normal different for everyone?  What are they looking for in the test results?  should I get a second opinion?  His apt with the psychologist isn't for another 3 weeks.

You can't test for ADHD by blood work. I can only surmise that the blood test was for physical reasons for your son's problem and there aren't any.
