About 5 years ago I quitted my one year long treatment of Concerta after developing tics. This has never ended since and I have to go inject Botox in my neck every third month. I have started to worry about loosing the strength in my neck because of this. Has anyone else experiensed this sideeffect of Concerta and have any advise??

My son was on concerta and adderall (adderrall) and they both can cause seizures.

I would ask doctor to  you for an egg and make sure you are not having seizures.Witch is a side effect to concerta and can not be reversed .They can only give you medicine to try and control the seizures.

I wish we had never put my son on these medicines. We found out in 2006 that my son was having seizures and he still is and medicines is not working even thou he takes 4 now and at one time he was on 6 medicines and still didn't work.He had the VNS put in last month and now waiting to see it that helps,so we can get him better and take some of the other medicines he is on off, because the side effects are scary.

best of luck.

Do you mean EEG?? I have had that several times but they showed nothing unusual. I have also had MR, CT, Spinal punction and several other tests. Everything was fine exept the MR showed some inregularities (wich could not be linked to the tics they said).
I have been sent around in different hospitals in Norway cause I'm such an "interresting case" and my case has also been braught up in a medical conference. No one knows if it is really because of the Concerta or if it is something else since I understand that sideeffects like that not usually become chronic??

My best wishes to your son and you.
