Drug Cocktail

by NeuroWoman, Nov 15, 2007 07:46PM
Hello,

I was diagnosed with ADD a little less than 2 months ago, for which I began taking Ritalin immediately; I was already taking Bupropion and Clonazapem (also a recent addition). About a month ago, I began forgetting small, inconsequential things. More recently, I have been forgetting HUGE things. I was already being weaned off of the Clonazapem, because of one its side effects, before the forgetfulness was attributed to it. That said, I understand that Ritalin and Bupropion may be a problematic combination and that Bupropion has been been known to cause forgetfulness, too. I need "something" for my "moods" and "anxiety" but the current combo isn't working as well as I had hoped... Two weeks ago, I received a prescription for Seroquel, which I take only at night, although I was given the option of taking it in small amounts during the day. I am wary of doing so, however, because I had been experiencing "tiredness" during the day, practically nodding off each afternoon, which is why my Clonazapem dosage was initially lowered. Because of my work, I really need to be alert both mentally and physicall during the day, so side effects like forgetfulness and sleepiness are deadly. Today, I took 100mg less than Bupropion, I normally take 200mg and no Clonazapem and it was not a good day. I am not sure if it is the weaning, hormones, or anxiety but I simply could not focus. I'd really like more info about the current drug combo of Bupropion, Ritalin, and Seroquel (evenings only), with minimal Clonazapem. Thank you.

You can try something like Codeine/ Tramadol/hydrocodone's etc for the anxiety instead of Bupropion, they do help and help wonderfully but of course you must and it's very imp that you take them SOS only cos they are addictive, the thing is that I just realized I have Adult ADD as well and don't know much about Bupropion or Seroquel but I know Codeine if smartly taken works wonderfully well for things like Anxiety ... hope it helps :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to address my question; I truly appreciate it.
What, if anything, are you taking for the ADD?
