Hello

Im new to this type of thing so I really dont know what to say but here goes. I am the mother of a 2 year old and boy who will be 4 on Wedsday. My girl listens so well and is nothing but a little sugar. She loves to help out and give hugs and kisses. Now my boy on the other hand he is a nightmare. He is such a handfull.  He hits, climbs on everything, runs full speed all hours of the day, hes falling behind in school, getting kicked out of his sunday school class and even having problems with his speech and potty traing.  He tries so hard but he just cant seem to focus for more than 2 or 3 mins at a time.  He has trouble sitting, listening and taking directions. We have tried a strict scedule, wacthing his diet, time out all of it. Hes very good for a couple of mins then hes off acting up.  All his teachers and docter seems to want to label him addhd. I just dont really want to put him on medicene. That and ive heard from serval people that thier kids acted very lethergic on the meds. I was wandering if anyone had any helpful information. Im suppose to meet with the docters at childrens mercy later this month and it scares me to death. I just love my boy so much. I just cant handel him the way he is though. By the end of the day Im in tears Im so tierd mentaly and physical. That and he takes alot of my attiention away from his sister. I run a small day care and Ive just never seen a kid act like he does. He is so loving and all but seems to be so hyper constanly. Its even to the point hes getting destructive.  We even tried taking him to my grandparents farm to run he ran for almost 5 hours no stop and didnt even get tierd. His newest thing is to talk back and to yell at us. I just don't know what to do anymore

He sounds jealous of his sister, she is probably as the youngest getting most attention and he used to, can you see that would make him sad, and negative behavior gets him attention .You say he wants attention and it takes it away from his sister so there is your answer, how about you spend some time with him alone and get someone to look after the liitle girl, is there a Patner of Family member can do guy things with him build his esteem up again.
