I accidentally gave my kid a vyvanse

My 17 year old takes Vyvanse for ADHD and help with anger , he takes that in the morning then at night Clonidine. At night I accidentally gave him Vyvanse and his clonidine because I thought I didn’t give him his meds ( clonidine) but later I checked the morning meds and there was one missing which means I gave him both! Me n him were confused and didn’t realize until the end.
Will this hurt him ? Should I be concerned.

Hi 123lub,  I really hope everything worked out ok for you guys.  That must have been kind of scary.  I would like to know how things went.  It will help us answer other questions like this.   In particular, did he have trouble sleeping that night?

And, I am sure by now, that you have thought of this.  But get two weekly pill boxes.  They will have the day printed on each section.  Get them in different colors.  You should not have this problem again as you will then have a very visual reminder of what you have done.

For a situation like this, you should check in with the prescribing doctor for guidance.  We wish you and your son the best.
