Lumosity

Does anyone have experience with their child using Lumosity to help with attention?  If you have tried it, does it help or not?  Thanks.

funny, I didn't look at the posters name when I wrote this.   Thus, I wrote this not knowing the age of the person it was intended for.   Try it for a month and see what happens.  But, lets face it - there is a biological reason why he can't pay attention.  As one ages, the ability to pay attention does get better due to better self control and all the study techniques that are out there.   But, I have seen a lot of adult posters on this forum who still struggle with the issue.  I don't think that there is any magical fix that does not involve tweaking the biology a bit when the concentration of school is required.  Its a whole different world when you are out in the real world and can find a job where your ADHD is not a handicap.

While it might help with other areas, I don't think that it will help very much with attention.
Here is a pretty good review of the program -   http://www.businessinsider.com/lumosity-review-2014-2?op=1
Of course, at about $80 a year, its not real expensive compared to some of the other programs.  And it certainly would be better to be using Lumosity then doing shoot up video games - I just wouldn't expect it to help very much with increasing attention.
