Medicine is being advertised on this site

by therese83, Dec 29, 2008 04:10AM
How come Medicine is being advertised on this site?  I find it very sytange. Here is Europe this kind of advertising is not allowed.  Are medicines advertised in the states?  I saw an american magazine and they were advertising anti depressants,  shouldnt the Doc chooses the medication?

The 'first day of school on Concerta add is far out......What kind of a message is that sending to parents?

I am just not used to it

Indeed, in the states any medication can be advertised given it also gives some required warnings about that medication within the add. Personally, I hate it. While I am a generally well versed patient, I have found medical advertising to be misleading in the "pill for everything" promotion.
