NEW MEDS FOR ADHD

HI, MY DOCTOR HAS JUST PUT ME ON THE MEDS FOR ADHD. D-AMPHETAMINE. I CURRENTLY TAKE HYDROCODONE FOR BACK PAIN AND KLONOPIN OCCASIONLY FOR ANXIETY IS IT SAFE TO BE TAKEN ALL THESE MEDS AT THE SAME TIME AND IS THIS NEW MED FOR ADHD SAFE.I AM TAKEN 10 MGS TWICE DAILY OF THE ADHD MED AND 1 AND 1/2 OF THE HYDROCODONE DAILY AND MAYBE A QUARTER OF A KLOPIN EVERY OTHER DAY.

I think that your question should be answered by a doctor first of all, but a rule should be that you listen to your body. If you feel something isn´t as it should be, then there probably is a problem.....

However, try posting in the ADHD/ADD sub forim as well, maybe someone uses similar "cocktails", and can respond based on their own experiences...

I have been on similar drugs and all at once.  I would suggest asking the pharmacy if there are any interactions. That way you know the information is correct and based on your prescriptions which they would have on file.  If there had been I would think they would have already mentioned it that is if you had everything filled at the same place...

Yeah thats fine, also your doctor checks your medical records and makes sure that each medicine doesn't counteract the other. 10mg is kind of low

with all due respect, don´t you think that his question is a little more complex than giving an answer like that? You´ve worked along parameds since you were 11 it says on your profile, and you are now 16.....

Maybe life haven´t shown/teached you that doctors often are wrong? And be carefull giving advices like that with your avatar (nice though), many people will believe that its a doctors answer (for all that I know you may be a very young doctor, but then again you wouldn´t have given this advice if you were), not a 16 year old man/child (depends on the eyes that see I guess).

Sorry if you get offended, but telling someone that its OK when they are mixing chemicals togheter without having seen their journal is kind of risky, for all that you know his doc is 73 and have been sued 67 times for malpractice....

Just a thought, and you´re probably right, but think about how you present youself with that avatar, and think about how you answer people that often are very confused and desperate!

What does your doctor think?  I have personally taken hydro, xanax and adderall (adderrall) at the same for about a week until i no longer needed the hydro.  It's not really that great of a combo since the cns depressants xanax and hydro seem to work against the stimulating effect of adderall (adderrall).  I ended up quitting the xanax as well after a while since it I felt it was diminishing the focus adderall (adderrall) gives you.  An occasional klonopin when you can't sleep or are extremely anxious would be ok but it is kind of pointless to mix them at the same time since they have opposite indications -  I just ended up awake but tired and groggy and feeling foggy at once which *****
