Numb left arm when using concerta and ritalin

Hi, I am 19 was recently diagnosed with ADHD. I have been taking 2 18mg pills of concerta in the morning and a 10mg ritalin at 4p.m for about 4 days. At first, I was feeling so much better but this evening my left arm and shoulder got really sore and then went numb. I took an extra ritalin last night on accident so it might be from that. Do you think the numbness is because of the extra ritalin or is it something I should be concerned about? thanks!

Adderall and Conserta as well as musle relaxers cause my arms to go numb...I figured this out after stopping them and the numbness while laying down stopped...as soon as started back on one of the meds it would start again. Not sure why it happens

The fact that the pain came back later on that evening is troublesome.  I think I would have a doctor check it out.  Let me know what happens.  Good luck and best wishes.

Thank you for answering! The pain started this morning and I just assumed I had slept on my arm wrong. It felt just like the muscle soreness I have the day after an intense workout. Then this evening when I was making dinner my arm started to feel numb, its weird since it is only my left arm that is in pain. I could still control my arm, the numbness is still going on, its lasted a few hours. The last time I worked out was 2 days ago and the soreness from that had already gone away. I'm worried that it might be a stroke or heart attack because a numb arm is a common symptom.

Interesting! I took a look at the side effects and couldn't find anything that seemed to fit.  To play it on the safe side, it is always a good idea to mention it to your doctor.
The other question would be - did you engage in any type of physical activity during the day?  It sounds more related to that.  Also If you spent a long time resting on your arm (maybe while reading), this could happen.
Ritalin is out of the system fairly quickly, so having taken it the night before, I kind of doubt that it would cause a problem 24 hours later.  But I am no doctor - and if it happens again, that is who you should ask!
The other part of your question deals with it not being related to ritalin.  I don't like the description of a sudden pain and then numbness.  How long did the numbness last?  Even though your arm went numb did you have control of it.
We have all had the experience of our arm "going to sleep" - pressure point kind of stuff. However, this is more apt to happen while sleeping.  When did this happen to you and what were you doing?
