I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong area but I didn't know where else to go. A friend gave me one 10mg Ritalin pill and said it would help me study for a test. Is this okay to take for a one time thing considering I do not have ADD/ADHD? I was told it would give me huge amounts of energy. My resting heart rate, for some reason, is usually around 80-95 bpm. Is this okay to drink with a monster energy drink? Any help is appreciated!

BTW, Ritalin is a schedule II controlled substance.  You could go to jail for possessing it without a proscription.

Ritalin is no meth.  That said, you really don't know how it will effect you.  It may help you study.  It may just put you in a odd state of mind.  It may make you obsess over things unrelated to the test.  It may do nothing at all.

My guess would be nothing at all.  Maybe a little energy.

I don't think it will help you get a better grade.  You may tire your brain out using it to study and find yourself in a low and disorganized state of mind during the test.

Taking it with an energy drink will increase the chance of adverse reaction.

Its not a smart drug its a dangerous drug for people without ADD. Don't hang out with people who push drugs on to you. Especially highly controlled and addictive drugs like methamphatimes. Its not only very bad for you and could lead you into a dangerous addiction but its a felony!

So skip the pill. If you want some ritalin, go to your doctor and get your own RX

NEVER take medication that was prescribed for someone other than yourself!

Definitely do NOT take with an energy drink or with coffee.   It will give energy.  It will not make you smarter.  I would skip the pill, study smart and most importantly. ...get a good nights sleep.   If you take the pill at night you will be up all night and blow the test the next day.
