Very Hyper 2.5YO

My 2.5yo daughter is extremely hyper and borderline very defiant.  She is a chatter box and will continue to talk/sing non stop.  She runs and runs and runs.  It takes 2 hours for her to fall asleep at night.  Won't sit still to eat meals.

Her "sperm donor" has ADHD from what he told me when I was with him.
My brother also suffers from it.

Is it possible that she has early symptoms.

I would not worry myself with any kind of label, I would meet her where her energy level  is.Children her age do need 10 hours of sleep at night. So I would cut out any sugar based foods after 6:00 TV off by 7:30 bathtime, tucking in time and read to her, diming the lights.
Routine is very important, If I had a dollar evertime one of my grandchildren needed to get out of bed for something I would be rich.
Sleep seems to be the needed attention, chart her sleeping behaviour and at her next checkk up take it with you and see what her peds doc says.best wishes

This behavior sounds pretty like most 2 year olds, having fun, they are not meant to sit or behave quietly, does she sleep during the day and for how long,  as if she does it would affect her falling asleep at night., get outside for games and fun, parks /playgrounds release some energy,.I did not know a child yet of 2 year old sit still for long.I doubt if there is anything wrongwith her,  if you are concerned ask her Doctor for a check up .Good luck  ,
