heart palpitations and insomnia side effects

I have been taking adderall (adderrall) for about 2 weeks now (15mg, one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and over the last week i have been experiencing side effects such as heart palpitations and insomnia. i am i college and we all know that requires alot of studying. so far the medication has been helping me stay on focus and on tesk with my studies. i want to continue taking adderall (adderrall) but these two side effects have been hard on me the last week. do you think these side effects will eventually go away or should i talk to my doctor about lowering my dosage or possibly taking some other type of medication?
Thanks

15 mg is actually a very low dosage of Adderall (adderrall). I'm afraid insomnia is almost a sure thing with this drug. See if your doctor will prescribe you some of the modern, less addictive, sleeping pills. I also find that Benadryl works for me.
Adderall (adderrall) is an amphetamine so it will give you a rush and can make your pulse quicken. I am such a normally lethargic person that I welcome it but I can see where it might be scary. Maybe you'll just get used to it?
