how to potty train>

help my son is almost three years old and i have tried everything to get him potty trained from candy to stickers,at first he would do the number two on the toilet and now he wont even do that,i have even tried to make him sit on the toilet and he would scream and cry so what do i do i have tried books and pull ups and underwear!!

If you started with rewards you were going about it the wrong way. You simply show your child that this is what grown up boys and girls do. And you make the potty chair available and convenient. the whole business is handled in a nonchalant manner. You neither punish nor reward.

I have had four children. The girls trained at 18 months and the boy at two years. No drama. No compliments. Just daily life.
