i have depression and started meds in 2004. i have been in the hospital for it twice.   i now have new problems   that my psychiatrist says it is ADD . but i dont know if it is that simple? if someone can help me to know what to do it would be great.   i have insomnia treated with trazodone and i fall asleep during the day. i always get bad headaches at the same time of the day. i twitch and see things out of the corners of my eyes that aren't there. i have a major problem knowing what has happened and what hasn't. i have panic attacks at least every week. and i wouldn't be doing anything to help myself if my wife was not here telling me to. i have told my doctor every thing here what should i do?

i have had major depression for a long time, but it wasn't my only symptom. i was diagnosed recently with ADD and placed on adderall (adderrall). my moods and symptoms are more stable, but i do have some weakness and tiredness with the new medication. it could be that i need to try a different med or just lower my dose. either way sounds like adhd to me. god bless....christina

Its possible that your psychiatrist could be honing in on one of the causes for your depression.  Check my last post to Christina in "Are you tired".
Also, (if you haven't already so) check out the Anxiety forum here, lots of ways to deal with panic attacks, etc. - though I would think your psyc would also be helping with that.
Getting bad headaches at the same time of the day sounds like its more food or environmental caused.  Might want to see an allergist. Just a thought.
   Good Luck

There can be medical causes for insomnia and panic attacks. I should know because I had both, and both had their roots in the endocrine system. This may not be true in your case, but you should surely have it checked out. I never went to a psychiatrist, reasoning that the problems had to be physical they were out of character for me. Are they out of character for you?
