Actually there are a number of laws that prevent discrimination these days.
The fact that you know you have ADHD is really important.  Hopefully, you have gotten guidance on dealing with this medical problem.  There are a lot of very successful people with ADHD, so it can be done.  You might enjoy reading a book by a UC Berkley honors student with severe  ADHD about growing up with ADHD.  The book is  called - "ADHD and Me,  What I learned from lighting fires at the dinner table," by  Blake Taylor.   Basically, "the Cal freshman tells how he made the ADHD work in his favor."  Heck while you are reading you might also want to read two other good books - "Driven to Distraction" by Hallowell, and "The Gift of ADHD", by Honos-Webb.
   Good Luck

Hi there dear,

When I was growing up I wanted to be in the Armed Forces.  They said women did not do that.  I grew up and guess what, yes I am now on a Veterans Pension.

I was hospitalize for on and off 3 years and was advised I would be institutionalized the rest of my life.  I did not want this and fought to get specialized treatment for PTSD and in 1991 got sent to a specialized rehab centre in the states for PTSD like mine.  They retaught me how to cook without burning myself, taught me strategies to do when in full flashback to help me come back to the present day and age.  And since have not been rehospitalized except for csections.

I ended up with a severe chronique form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and shook so badly that when pregnant would miscarry because the placenta dropped.  Well they said I would not be able to carry a child full turm.

Well I had four children, but two survived.  One is 8 and the other 13.  They both have ADD and as a mother and believer I will provide as much as I can for them to fullfill whatever dreams they have.

I guess what I am saying is don't ever let anyone tell you you cannot do something.  That is your dream than I say go for it.  IT MAY NOT BE EASY.  But if you really want it you can do it.  You may need to learn how to do it with ADD but surely someone out there is flying a plane that has it to.   My brother is dsylexic and ADD and he now build those little planes and got his pilot license recently.  And he only does it as ahobby.  So imagine what and where you want to be and fly there in your mind.  <Believe your there

And let me know when you fly

God Bless
