meds on a plane?!

Hey all,
I am going on a plane tomorrow, I am only bringing a carry on bag. So all my meds will have to be in my carry on and go through all the security measures.
In total i will be bringing 7 prescription medications. They are all in their proper bottle and all of them are in a clear ziplock bag,

My fear is that..
they wont allow it
they will whip them out and ask me questions about them in front of everyone (my whole family will be with me and they do not know/care to know the extent of my mental health issues)

has anyone every brought a ton of prescription pills in their carry on??
will the fact that some of them are controlled an issue?

any info would be helpful!!
thanks
