my 4 yr old dont listen

my son is 4 yrs old gunna b 5 nxt month... he was 2 months early n has mild cp n wears n afo on his foot... Now my son dose not listen he cant play by himself( loves to play with others) very active, repeats his self cant look you in the eye when your talking to him. he is in preschool n i have had no complaints from them.. so idk if this is just a at home thing.. my afaird he might b add, or have a form of autisum... i have talked to his ped but it took him 3 yrs to send me somewhere for his cp... n i feel i get nowhere with him..he is also very obsessive, please any advise will help!

Hi there.  Well, GOOD news.  You don't usually have add/adhd or autism just at home and in fact, school is typically harder for these kids.  add/adhd and autism aren't 'situational' so a child only has problems one place and not another.  So, it is fantastic news that you hear no complaints from school!!  

Four year olds are well known for testing the boundaries of the one they love most.  I would lovingly and patiently help  him remember the boundaries.  If he is running around, wandering around and not looking at you when he speaks, get down on his level and say gently "look at me so I can understand you".  Be consistent, pick your battles, give him choices when you can.  Always try to remain calm.  Give him plenty of outlets for his natural four year old energy,  Take him to parks, run around outside, play physical games.  good luck

I agree with the last commentor. your son sounds like he is pushing the limits. try not to over analyze his behavior.
