strattera

i have add not adhd, my doctor prescribed me strattera, it is said to help with adhd, i only have add did he over prescribe me?

kinda worried as i do not have depression or is hyper in any way.

People with ADD are not hyper, that's called ADHD.  Medication is used for both ADHD and ADD.  Strattera is definitely one of the safer meds, but it takes longer to take effect.  And it is still a medication.    Google it so you understand what it does and how it is different than a stimulant.  Probably wouldn't hurt to also look up ADD.  It tends to be a kind of "hidden" disorder since people aren't bouncing off the walls, but can be just as debilitating.   Hope this helps.
