My daughter had the same problem but Vyvanse was the best choice after trying several other meds. When she couldn't gain weight I took her to several specialist trying to find help and finally her primary care pediatrician had the answer right away!!!  She put her on Periactin which is an antihistamine...it's side effect is to make them hungry and gain weight!!! Plus it helps with her allergies and asthma!!  She is maintaining and has grown over the summer... so far so good...

I hope this helps you...good luck

I think the last sentence is "They act like they don't get any food." Translation: They have no appetite when they are on the upper and starving when it wears off. Makes sense.

I think you are saying that when your kids are on vyvanse they don't want to eat.  But I don't understand the last part. When it wears off they act like ---what?
