So he sent me to a neurologist for more test. One person ran and said the NVC looked good on the arm and leg. Then the neurologist came in and ran an EMG and he said the arm was good but the leg had some abnormal readings on the EMG when my leg was at rest (nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity damage).. Also did a blood test for vitamin b12 deficiency and an MRI of the c-spine, those results not back yet.
Everything I'm reading on the internet about an abnormal EMG points towards ALS, Scared about that !
So my questions are :
1. What else would cause an abnormal EMG reading in addition to my other symptoms.
2. A couple years ago when I was ripping up my old kitchen floor I screwed my back up (could hardly walk with back spasms) for about a week. I did NOT have any pain shooting down the legs. I'm just wondering if an old injury like that could have cause some nerve damage in that leg.
3. Could a b12 or any other deficiency cause these types of readings and symptoms?
4.I had my cell phone on and in my pocket during these test(does that matter??)
