Dropping things. . .

Dropping things. . .

Hi there. . .

I've noticed over the past 9 months or so that I have a small amount of saliva constantly gathering in the left corner of my mouth.  It doesn't come out, but I'm constantly "slurping" at it. Sorry if that sounds gross. . .

In the past five months or so, I've also begun dropping things.  I reach for a cup or something, and my hand just doesn't close properly around it. It seems to, but then the thing just falls out. In nearly all cases I catch it in the air, but it's happening probably once a week.

I'm a male, aged 33, btw.

Does this point to anything?

I would make an appointment with my GP and have them set up an appt. with a Neurologist.

Yes, please do make an appointment to see a Neurologist.

I am now 37 and have just been diagnosed with Myositis, but this diagnosis has taken many years of suffering.

My symptoms are:
Fatigue (I sleep whilst I drive - very worrisome)
drooling/speech slur (that only I seem to notice or the people around me are just being kind by not saying anything)
Too tired to swallow and even breathe at times
Intermittent gnawing sensation in my legs (mainly femur) and extreme weakness in arms and hands
Dropping things has become a noticeable occurrance of recent.

Keep us posted
Take care
