Symptoms changing

29 year old Male, quite fit otherwise healthy apart from anxiety and migraines.

It all started about 1 year ago when my right leg started twitching, not the calf but the thigh just above the knee. I also have to swallow a lot as I feel I have a lot of saliva. I made the mistake of looking up twitching on Google, and of course panicked about ALS. I then saw my family doctor who wasn't worried but still I went for a neurological appointment including an EMG (Privately paid) which came back 100% fine. They tested both calves & feet the right arm and face.  This was about April 24th, 3/4 months in. The symptoms of twitching seemed to subside for a while around the summer months however the twitching is back now and new symptoms have appeared. I know have near constant joint clicking and pains especially near the places that twitch, I am having lots of problem with trapped wind also i seem to have slight weakness in my fingertips like when unscrewing bottles as it hurts when I try to do so. My hands are twitching a lot and wondered whether the muscles were just tired as it is worse in morning and night but better in the day.I am really worried about my symptoms as my Doctor doesn't even check me out when I go in their. The last time he send me for a 'neurology' appointment but the guy didn't do any tests at all and asked no relevant questions. He just said too young don't worry.
Please give me some advice am I worrying about nothing??

I'm no doctor, but i can tell you that if there is no significant weakness in your muscles, then it is very, very unlikely it is ALS.

Maybe you should look up BFS, benign fasciculation Syndrome, a condition you are more likely to have and something you shouldn't at all be worried about.

ALS normally starts with only one limb and then 'spreads' to others. so, if you are have twitching all over, it is in all probability bening.

The 'trapped wind' symptom could be due to anxiety, stop worrying and most of your symptoms might just go away.

It's a bit hypocritical of me to be writing all this, as i'm experiencing fasciculations as well, and i'm just as worried, even though i know i have little reason to be.
