Twitching in bicep for one year

I started out with twitching in my left bicep (on and off) 12 months ago. It stopped after two weeks. It came back on and off and a neuro examined me and did an emg 7 months after the first onset. The EMG was normal and I experience no weakness. Now, 12 months since the first episode, my left bicep has been CONSTANTLY twitching for over two weaks. No weakness. I am a very active 44 year old male, but I am terrified that this is the early phase of ALS. I do occassionally have body twitches in other areas, but they last only a few seconds. The twitching in my left arm is constant right now. Can this be ALS?
