als fasciculations--all the time or on and off

In ALS, do the fasciculations in the affected muscle happen constantly, 24/7, or are they on and off, minutes or sometimes  hours apart? thanks

ALS is different in everyone...but, usually (not always) it starts in one area and when those muscles die off, it goes to another area...usually with cramps and pain and atrophy...although any thing you read doesn't mention pain, but a lot of PALS i talk to have PAIN...

Hi bruce,
I have had fasciculations for 4 years now. 3 emgs, and other tests.  I have fasciculations all the time in one place or another.  They are worse in my thighs and ribs.  I still haven't been diagnosed.  I have alot of cramps mostley in my legs.  My calves are pretty small. I have a friend that has aches in his legs like I do.
Wish I could think of more right now.  It sucks.  Good luck to you
