I am a 30 yr old male.
I have had muscle weakness in both legs and left arm for 3 months. It started suddenly in both legs.
I can hold things without problem. I can walk or run without much problem but I get tired very early. I have difficulty in climbing stairs.
For the last 3 days I am experiencing muscle spasms and twitching in both legs. My tongue is numb for 1 week and I have difficulty in swallowing liquids.
I visited several doctors including a neurologist (1 month ago) EEG was normal. Basic neurological examination was also normal.
As I am now experiencing swallowing and muscle problems I will visit him again for further tests about functions of muscles.
I have neck problems. Cervical spondylosis C5-C6. Retrospondylosis C4-C5 and C5-C6. I have an uncomfartable feeling on my neck. Sometimes my neck muscles becomes really tight and I have a burning feeling on my neck.
I am really very concerned. Can this be ALS or am I just too anxious about it?
