fasciculations

am very panic-y,hope someone can help me. i am a 60 yr. old female, was in excellent health, do lots of exercise, including stairmasater, elliptical trainer, and i walk a lot every day with my 3 dogs. i had a shoulder twitch a few weeks ago, followed by ongoing little fasciculations, mainly in my calves, over the shin bone and sometimes back of knees and thighs or elbow or a random place. sometimes i see these without feeling them, sometimes i can see the ripples. it always happens when the muscle is at rest, especially  at night and in the morning in bed or when i'm at the computer. i can actually make them happen after i massage the calf muscle very hard. i do not have any muscle weakness or atropy, but the fasciculations continue. it's labor day weekend and i can't even call a physican until next week. i don't have any other health problems, or take prescritpion medications.  can anyone offer reassurance.

They are probably just benign fasciculations. Check out www.aboutbfs.com (benign fasciculation syndrome).
