night leg cramps

Family histosry of ALS. Mother, grandfather, great uncle, uncle ,two first cousins, brother I am 65 yearf year old female  have occassional lleg cramps at night last couple of years.Lately quite severe painful in calves. Is this  a symptom of early ALS?

Seems like a legitimate concern.  My husband has had the same thing on a couple of occasions this past few months, and there is no history of ALS in his family.

Since I learned about a chemical exposure that causes autoimmune issues, I've wondered in his case (& yours) whether exposure to BUTYL or a chemical such as 2-butoxyethanol was in one of the cleaning or home improvement projects he was doing.

I suspect that in your family line & for these you mention with ALS that there are multiple generations of chemically poisoned by 'the autoimmune causing chemical'
