Child Abuse

Can someone please answer my question it is urgent?  I have two nieces who are age 9 and 7 and repeatedly get what looks like wart infections on their private parts. They have also has repeated lice infestations.  These kids are from a divorced family where the mother has joined what amounts to a cult.  Please advise if these warts are a sign of abuse or can you get warts on the genitals as a kid from some other means.

Heard of this before, the female child got them after getting a shot for chicken pox. Parents were told by doctor that it was from the vaccine.

You say, "They are separate, very strict on kids and handle all such things within their organization." That makes me very nervous. Especially the "strict on kids." That could mean anything..

Thank you all for the advice and support!   To answer some of the questions:

I originally saw the warts myself about a year ago when the oldest child asked me to look at something she was worried about.  She showed it to me and it looked like warts to me.  Kinda big, some were bigger than an eraser on a pencil.  There were several, at least 4-5 along her vagina and one huge one around the anal area.  I was worried and asked the mother.  Mother said, oh it was nothing and she was taking her to the doctor.

Later in the year on just asking the older child, she told me they were gone.  This Thanksgiving I was told by the stepmother that they were back and on both girls this time.   I did not actually see it this time.  The older child used to be happy go lucky and is now subdued and what I would call depressed.  The cult I describe is a more mainstream religion and I dare not mention it for fear of who might read this.  They are separate, very strict on kids and handle all such things within their organization.

My brother has retained a lawyer to gain custody and we are building a case for abuse.  These same children had lice for more than 3 years which I also witnessed.  I just wanted an objective opinion on if this could be anything other than what we suspect and my fears are confirmed.  Thank you all for the advice and I will let you know what happens.

The reason I suggest investigating the cult is that many of those cults have strange sexual practices. And they often involve children.

Healthy females should not have what u describe.   Deffinitely a case for the doctor's advice.   Secondly has anyone tried asking them if they are being abused?    Sounds suspicious to me.   Needs investigating sooner than later.

When you google causes of genital warts,  it's always seems to be sexual contact.

Google this - you might be interested in the results.

You might want to find out about the cult from relevant authorities or services. Some out out there may already be investigating the cult. Your local police might be helpful.

How do you know they look like warts did their mom or the children tell you ..I certainly think that they should see a doctor as it doesn't sound too healthy and they will need treatment ,I cannot tell you whether  abuse would cause this there could be other health reasons like UTI or allergies .
