Law

My question has nothing to do with abuse. Couldn't ind a catagry for it. Do Dr. offices HAVE to hand you your medical records by law?

i have got my medical records also my husbands go to medical records they will have you fill out a form and you pay so much per copy and they gave them to me if it is a long one you may have to go back but that was 10 yers ago i  am not sure now just call medical records and ask them  luck  jo

Yes, but only for you. Federal HIPAA regulations require it. You must request it in writing - best done by certified mail - return receipt requested - and you may be asked to pay nominal copying charges.
